Amoria Bond launches ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing Campaign’ to raise awareness of World Mental health Day 2020
‘Mental Health for All’ is more than a slogan or soundbite; it requires action and investment. Sadly, levels of anxiety, fear, isolation, social distancing, uncertainty and emotional distress are more prevalent and widespread then perhaps ever before. Recognising this, Amoria Bond launched an internal and external Mental Health Awareness campaign, beginning with a Social Media series based around the 5 Ways to Wellbeing in the week leading up to World Mental Health Day on 10th October. Later in October, Amoria Bond will host two webinars, both facilitated by Rhonda D’Ambrosio (FRIP), Founder of Mental Health in Recruitment, Transformational Director at Ebenable, and co-creator of mental health app, KITE:
Match Fit Minds, Mental Health & Mindset in Recruitment:
This first session is for Amoria Bond’s own employees, exploring how we keep ourselves and our teams mentally ‘match fit’, why it’s important and how our understanding of personal resilience can lead to better Performance, Management and Leadership in the workplace.
Getting It Right, Right Now; Personal Resilience Through Adversity
Amoria bond are hosting this as a completely free, open session for employees, their friends and families, clients, candidates, and the company’s wider network.
‘Getting It Right, Right Now, has been specifically designed by Rhonda to provide both valuable insights and a practical toolkit as we continue to navigate the non-physical impact of Covid-19. In the session, Rhonda will expertly help you to:
- Understand why we are all susceptible to a form of stress and anxiety right now
- Learn to recognise stress and your personal response to it
- Learn a simple technique to improve and manage your emotional reactions to what is happening around you
- Create a self-help action plan that will enable you to manage how you feel and encourage conversations with others
- Have a basic understanding of Mental Health First Aid

Amoria Bond’s 5 Ways to Wellbeing Campaign
Every day leading up World Mental Health Day, Amoria Bond has shared resources, ideas, and online events aligned with the 5 Ways to Wellbeing model that our own employee Wellbeing programme is based around. We hope they help you too:
CONNECT
On Monday we focused on reminding each other of the importance to take a minute to check in with a friend or family member you’ve not spoken to for a while, or with a colleague you don’t normally speak to.
We’re unhappier than we’ve been for 40 years and, tragically, every 40 seconds someone takes their life, but the smallest things can make a real difference… so reach out, and don’t forget the Power of a Smile: https://lnkd.in/d6S2yHG
BE ACTIVE
On Tuesday, we were delighted to invite our entire network to an online Pilates class led by Sasha Holly Buy of OnForm Fitness. Sasha’s Pilates have been an important part of Amoria Bond’s Wellbeing programme this year. Great for mindfulness, breathing, posture and awareness, Pilates have been proven to really boost mental health and wellbeing for many.
You can still access and replay Sasha’s class here for free – no registration form or personal details required, literally just click the link and off you go!:
As it was also Netherlands Diversity Day, on Tuesday we encouraged our colleagues to take Diversi-tea breaks too to connect with colleagues they don’t usually hang out with eiher remotely over zoom or in the office.
GIVE
Wednesday we focused on ‘Giving’. Here at Amoria Bond, employees are given a day every year to volunteer for a community or charity project, and in July this year the whole company pulled together to raise almost £8k for Project Peru’s children’s refuge.
Giving is about more than simply donating Monday; check out the Amoria Bond Charitable Trust to get inspired about what you and your company could do to GIVE your time, knowledge, and presence to help others. Perhaps you could consider volunteering to be a mentor for an organisation like Aleto Foundation, like some of our Board members are doing?
TAKE NOTICE
It’s important to Take Notice and recognise how our internal survival instincts cause us to react to what is happening around us in certain ways. Recognising the toll the ongoing state of uncertainty is taking on our collective reserves of resilience, on Thursday, Amoria Bond announced our forthcoming webinars with Rhonda D'Ambrosio.
KEEP LEARNING
Keep learning was a great way to end the week; knowledge is power after all. That’s as true in the pursuit of Mental Health and Wellbeing as any other aspect of life. So on Friday, we simply encouraged everybody to keep learning and stay open to new ideas and experiences.
If you’re stuck where to start we can highly recommend the Mental Health In Recruitment Podcasts, blogs and other sources of support which can be found on their website: https://www.mentalhealthinrecruitment.org/
Amoria Bond’s purpose is PROGRESING LIVES EVERYWHERE, and, recognising the importance of Mental Health For All, are committed to supporting and promoting the mental health and wellbeing of our employees, clients, candidates, and the wider global community in which we operate.
